Why Choose Sandie Moore Physio Pilates?

Joseph Pilates developed a great basic method, but it was very prescriptive. With Physio Pilates, I adapt the exercises for each person to their individual body structure and any painful joints. This leads to faster improvements and greatly reduces the chance of aggravating the pain. Programs can be used to help prevent and recover from sports injuries. I usually assess people on a one-to-one basis before they start, to ensure I can best target the exercises to them. Everyone works to their own personal challenge point and I offer 4 levels of Pilates: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, Rehabilitation

Sandie Moore

Instructor

I spent 15 years as a physiotherapist, treating musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. I noticed that patients who attended well-supervised Pilates classes made rapid progress, while those who attended large, unsupervised classes often got worse. This led me to complete my level 3 Pilates training, and I have been refining my teaching methods for over 15 years. I love teaching Pilates because of the people, the sense of fun in the class, and the analytical challenge. No two people are the same, so it's important to be able to adapt my teaching to each individual's needs.

In my free time,   I enjoy padel tennis and other active pursuits. I love spending time in nature and exploring new places. My greatest strength is my enthusiasm. I'm always up for a challenge, and I love sharing my passion for Pilates with others. My greatest weakness is my love of dark chocolate. I could eat it every day! One of my guilty pleasures is listening to Desert Island Discs. I love hearing about the twists and turns that people's lives take, and the music they choose to bring back memories of people and happy times.

“Sandie is an excellent Pilates instructor. As a Physiotherapist she is able to adapt the exercises to work around existing injury to steadily build core strength and maintain overall flexibility. This has helped me to develop my cycling and spinning whilst keeping me agile for sailing."

Carole, Member and Retired Physiotherapist

"A Consultant Neurosurgeon diagnosed a serious back condition requiring surgery, which was something I was very keen to avoid and was fortunate a friend recommended Sandie. I cannot thank Sandie enough for her dedication and professional expertise which has helped my back to such an extent that back surgery has never been required"
